Although most people still choose cats and dogs as their pets, rabbits have become the third pet in the world because of their lovely appearance. How much do you know about rabbits?

1.Don’t Pull Rabbits’ Ears

Affected by TV dramas and cartoons, many people will directly pull the ears of rabbits when they catch them, but in fact, this action is very cruel and will cause great pain to rabbits. Rabbits’ ears are mostly cartilaginous and can't bear their weight at all. Rabbits’ ears are also full of blood vessels and nerves. If the ear root is injured, the ear will not stand up again.

2. Rabbits Don't Stink At All

Rabbits are clean animals. Healthy rabbits do not stink, even their poop doesn’t stink. It is their urine that will produce peculiar smell, but as long as the owner cleans their toilets frequently, there is no problem. People who say rabbits stink are those who do not feed rabbits properly, so that the rabbit's intestines are in a sub-health state, resulting in peculiar smell.

3.Rabbits Eat Their Own Poop

The fibers eaten by rabbits are mainly digested and fermented in the cecum and discharged in the form of soft "feces" (cecal feces). These feces are different from the general round, dry and hard feces. They look like strings of grapes, so they are also called grape feces. The cecum feces are rich in nutrients. To avoid wasting nutrients, rabbits will eat them to supplement the nutrients needed by the body.

4. Rabbits Are Not Rodents

Many people think that rabbits belong to rodents because their teeth will continue to grow, but in fact they are not. The rabbit has two pairs of incisors in the upper jaw, the smaller of which is behind the incisors; Rodents have only one pair. Moreover, rabbits are herbivores, yet rodents eat both meat and vegetables.

5.You Can’t Surprise Rabbits Secretly

The position of the rabbit's eyes is located above the two sides. The rabbit mainly needs a wide range of vision and the ability of farsightedness to avoid the attacks of surrounding beasts. Rabbits have a visual range of about 360 degrees, so they can see what happens in the rear.
