The 180-minute twin-engine extended-range flight was delivered to United Airlines for the first time on May 17, 1995. Boeing has signed a risk-sharing partnership agreement with Japan's Mitsubishi, Kawasaki and Fuji Heavy Industries, and Japan will undertake 20% of the 777's structural work.
