As we approached Lake Clearwater, we were immediately struck by its crystal-clear waters and the stunning backdrop of the Southern Alps. This picturesque lake is part of the larger Canterbury region and is known for its tranquil atmosphere and diverse outdoor activities. We decided to explore the walking trails surrounding the lake, which offered spectacular views of the landscape and the opportunity to observe local wildlife.
The walking trails vary in difficulty, making it suitable for everyone, from casual walkers to avid hikers. As we walked along the shores, we came across several migratory birds resting by the water. It was a serene moment, and we couldn’t help but pause to take in the beauty of our surroundings. We even spotted a few black swans, gracefully gliding across the lake.

The hike to Lake Camp took us through scenic landscapes dotted with wildflowers and lush greenery. As we arrived at the lake, we were greeted by a breathtaking view that took our breath away. We spent time fishing and sharing stories of past adventures, enjoying the peacefulness that surrounded us.
