Hey Lykkers, have you ever dreamt of stepping onto powdery white sands, surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea?

We sure did when we first set foot on the stunning beaches of Krabi, Thailand. From the mesmerizing limestone cliffs to the warm embrace of the sun, these beaches offer an unforgettable escape from everyday life!

Railay Beach – A Hidden Gem

One of our absolute favorite beaches in Krabi is Railay Beach. We were captivated by the dramatic limestone cliffs that frame the shore, making it feel like a secluded paradise. This beach is perfect for those who want a bit of everything—swimming, rock climbing, and simply relaxing by the sea. There's no road access to Railay, which makes it feel even more magical. To get there, we took a longtail boat, which added to the adventure! The boat ride takes about 15 minutes from Ao Nang, and it was a fun way to start our day.

Railay Beach is a great spot for rock climbers—in fact, it's one of the world's best places for this activity. For beginners and experienced climbers alike, there are plenty of options to explore. If you're not into climbing, we recommend just basking in the beauty of the surrounding cliffs or floating in the crystal-clear waters. The beach is open to visitors at all hours, but if you want to enjoy a quieter experience, we suggest going early in the morning or just before sunset. As for costs, there's no entrance fee, but activities like rock climbing and boat rides are extra. Expect to pay around 1,500-2,000 THB for a day of climbing.

Phra Nang Cave Beach – A Paradise for Nature Lovers

We also couldn't resist exploring Phra Nang Cave Beach, located just a short walk from Railay Beach. This beach is as unique as it is beautiful, famous for its limestone caves and the iconic Phra Nang Princess Cave. The cave is home to offerings left by local fishermen to the spirit of the princess, and the surrounding area feels like something out of a fairy tale. We spent hours just strolling along the beach, admiring the vibrant colors of the water and the picturesque cave.

The best time to visit Phra Nang Cave Beach is around early morning or sunset, when the sun bathes the beach in golden light. It's a perfect spot for a swim, and the view is absolutely breathtaking. The beach is free to access, but boat trips can cost between 300-500 THB per person depending on your starting point. If you want to explore the cave, it's accessible at all hours, but the experience is best when you're alone, allowing the natural serenity to sink in.

Practical Tips for Your Krabi Beach Adventure

Before heading to Krabi's beaches, there are a few things we wish we'd known that would've made our trip even smoother. First, we suggest bringing sunscreen and a hat—the Thai sun can be intense, especially during midday. If you plan to explore multiple beaches, a boat ride is the most scenic and efficient way to get around. Longtail boats are the main form of transport, and you can hire them for half-day or full-day trips starting at about 1,000-2,500 THB depending on the route.

As for accommodation, we stayed in Ao Nang, which was centrally located and gave us easy access to the beaches. From here, we took boats to Railay and other nearby beaches. If you're looking for more luxurious stays, you'll find plenty of resorts and beachfront hotels along Ao Nang Beach. For those on a budget, there are many affordable guesthouses and hostels that offer a cozy retreat after a day of exploring.

Why Krabi's Beaches Are Unforgettable

Krabi's beaches offer something for everyone—whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, or simply a beautiful place to escape. The combination of stunning scenery, crystal-clear waters, and fun activities makes it one of the top beach destinations in Thailand. We'll never forget the sunsets over Railay Beach and the peaceful moments we spent at Phra Nang Cave Beach. No matter how many beaches we've visited, Krabi's coastal beauty continues to hold a special place in our hearts.
